conversation with mr. ralph roldan.about zamboanga bombings and reign of d lobregats ralph, i was a bit surprised that only 14 people were hurt and no one died. if it was a move by a terrorist group, well... palpak tlga! a disgrace to d terrorist world.. osama must hav been verry disappointed...poor osama. this tells us that it may not be a terrorist move. either it had something to do with local business extortion or conflict, or even worse, a move equally evil as that of a terrorist bombing...a government diversionary tactic. but the question is what can we do? i don't know. dis country's problems is like shit stucked on toilet bowl and u hav no tools of any kind whatsoever, u hav no choice but 2 use ur hands... ang hirap kaya non? about d Lobregats. d city hall is one kilometer away from here yet i hav no idea wats going on down there. throughout history though, Dynasties hav had d most powerful and popular and notorious reigns over many states and countries. ,d pinnacles of history resides in d halls of great dynasties, though many hav crumbled , many more hav triumphed. but of course dats besides d point, coz d lobregats is not a dynasty. wehehe my point is that if d only reason why we want to drag Celso out of office is because they have been ruling zamboanga for decades, (they being d lobregats) then we might as well topple d catholic church because they hav been evangalizing our people for centuries already! celso and caling might have d same last name but they are two very different people. i attest to that. celso is kuripot for one. d point is dat unless we find our leaders useless or dysfunctional... and unless we find our leaders - not our leader at all (ex. Gloria).. then no matter how sick we get from looking at their faces -they're still our leaders. as long as they're doing a relatively acceptable job. celso is not doing bad as a mayor. i think. listening to my father, i hav d impression dat he is a workaholic, he has lost weight since he was elected and does not seem to get tired of work... he has been awarded 1 of d best congressmen by d press magazine... he's only problem is he is unlike caling . he does not possess d political charm and makings her mother had onced had. he is a business graduate.he lack d TRAPO qualities we Filipinos have grown up with. i am not venerating him, though. and i am not campaigning for him either. though my fathers job is co terminous with celso's reign (like were talking bout medieval kings hehe), i would campaign for Juan if i think Juan would be a better Mayor. wat is d problem of zamboanga tlga? d only reason i can think of is dat zamboanguenos are not as hardworking as people like d bisaya and some tagalogs. this is maybe because of d spanish air dat we are so proud of. i have learned in my history class dat during d spanish period, d spaniards hav regarded d zamboanguenos as d most loyal and most trusted indios especially during inter island warfare. d zamboanguenos wholeheartedly supported d spaniards when many tagalogs hav started to raise arms against d spanish government. they even composed a song in praise of d zamboanguenos! this for me is sad. we were ass kissing d spaniards....(if theres such a term) dat is why d zamboanguenos in other parts of the philippines are viewed as mayabang , hambugero... sana bago magyabang dapat may ipagmamayabang dba... sorry if i might sound cynical. d truth is im not.. iam proud to be a zamboangueno and im still hoping d best for this city. mundski
